Okay, Ive been toying with this since the summer, and am taking it a different direction...

I want to start a local organization... at first it was going to be service... but now I want it to be a multicultural/service org...

Does anyone have any ideas on getting women to join?

Any tips?

Do you want this to be a greek organization? Do you already belong to a greek organization? What would the bases be? What are you looking for in terms of women, ideals, national affiliation or do you want to stay local?

I am in a social and an honorary. I would like this to be a special interest greek org... one that is open to anyone to join (little selection process) one that can get members of all ethnicities to get to know eachother and do service.

We are a small, very rural campus - people stay in groups basically... like whites with whites, african americans with african americans and the exchange students with the exchange students... and I would LOVE to see all groups mix, and have a place where they can feel free to break the barriers and get to know one another :)

How does the members of the sorority that you already are apart of feel about you creating a new sorority? Maybe you can bring different elements to your sorority that wasn't already there, like doing more service projects. Also you can start to recruit different minorities to your sorority to make it more diverse.
