Old Skool Stepping Vs. New Skool Stepping!

For the record I say I like the Old Skool Steps alot better and I for one would like to see alot of them return to the fold!

But we know where the real props are...LOL

Being a new school Groover myself...I would have to give props to the smoothness of new skool steps. I pay homage to those steps that are recognized as "ol-skool" for without them we would not be able to relish in the beauty and complexity of the steps we have now. But I think a premise of Groove is that there is something great about change...and the evolution of anything is a sight to behold. The same must go for our organization's quality and multitude of stepping styles and varieties. To all my ol-skool brothers, thank you for providing the tool box. To my new-skool brothers....KEEP ON BUILDIN.

Whatever....The New skool steps have no words, no smoothness to them and one thing that I learned when I was a Super Swanxman is that WE DO NOT HOP UP AND DOWN!! We actually Step....The Fred Estare, the Sae Sae Bon, The Ultimate, The Monkey stomp(I,ve only seen once on tape!), Juicy Fruit, The Freaky Step, The Mambo, The Elbow, The Rock Shock the House, are all steps, if done correctly , would put every greek step to shame, but the catch is you must be in shape.....they are very fast high intensity steps that require alot of practice...something the younger cats (including some of my boys) just won't set time out for. Belive me when I say the steps are Phat because they had to be...we helped create stepping and believ me the Old heads was doing major damage at stepshows back in the day!
