UGa PKP has $2445 forged chek
UGA fraternity reports forgery
A member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity told Athens-Clarke police Tuesday that a former officer of the organization forged two checks on Phi Kappa Psi's account, including one for $2,445. The forgeries were made between Aug. 9 and Sept. 3 on the fraternity's SunTrust bank account, the complainant said. When police spoke with the suspect, he claimed the $2,445 check was written to reimburse his parents for a loan they had made for renovations at the fraternity house, located at 398 S. Milledge Ave. The complainant told police that wasn't the case, and said the suspect didn't have authority to write any checks off the account. No arrests were made at the time of the report, but the complainant indicated he would press charges. Published in the Athens Banner-Herald on Thursday, September 12, 2002. |
Wow.....keep us updated on that. I'd like to find out what happens. Poor guys, though :( That must really, really hurt them. I mean, a brother and all!

Wow...
This is definitely a "black eye" for the fraternity! I cannot believe that a brother would do this to his own brothers...:( |
Hoosier,
Is all you do start stuff? |
Give Hoosier a break... The things he posts are real and happen. We should be angrier at the brother who would hurt his chapter than at someone for telling us about it.

Hey wait a minute, whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? The guy hasn't even been arrested and everyone is assuming that he actually did it. Maybe he didn't.
