Stupid MEN tricks!

Okay, ladies, what is the dumbest/most pathetic thing a guy has done to get your attention? Particularly in public?

I was at a local bar this past weekend and I ran into some friends I haven't seen in awhile (guy friends) and they had some guys with them I had never met. So they are introducing me to the guys that I had never met and one of them grabs my hand to shake it and won't let go, AT ALL! I ask him politely about ten times to let go of my hand and he doesn't do it and I am laughing and just what ever and then suddenly I feel something on my hand and realize this guy is LICKING my freaking hand! So I told him in a not so polite way to let go of my hand.

Not even twenty minutes later some guy is hollering across the way "Hey are you Lebonese?" and screams this about five times and I look it him like "What?" and he swears that since i have blonde hair and blue eyes I am obviously Lebonese and then I explain to him, first off they are green (which he tries to argue) and that I am not Lebonese. He asks my last name and I tell him and he says "See, I told you, Lebonese!" and I say, no, it is IRISH! The guy would not quit with this Lebonese thing and I couldn't get away from him cause he kept following me.

So, those are two from just one night... any other stupid men out there? Please tell me they aren't all in Kentucky! (Except SigmaChiCard and KABillyMac!)

In fifth grade I'm walking home from school with a group of kids and my little brother (who was in like 2nd grade). There was this kid walking with us, Andy, and it was rumored that he liked me. So he decides to do the whole stupid, "Pull my finger" thing and tries to get anyone in the group to pull his finger. So he does it to my brother who doesn't know any better, and he punches him in the gut. My brother lets out this moan and cry, and I turn around and started beating up on the guy yelling at him. Another kid ran across the streat and started yelling at Andy.
I just thought if he were trying to impress me, you would have thought he'd do it in a different way. It was funny cuz later that year we had buddies with younger kids and my brother and him ended up being buddies...he appologized too.

Uh oh! Y'all are going to unleash the wrath of masculinists, like James and Rudey! You ladies know better than to have a thread like this! But I would certainly be remiss if I didn't post my own antecdote. :D

Well honestly, I get a lot of bad pickup lines at the club. Drunk + Dressed up = not a great state of mind for men, I guess.

Anyway, one of the freshest in my memory was last weekend. I was at a trendy little bar to get some drinks and chill. Well, they started playing some hot 70's and 80's music (Morris Day and the Time, Jay and Silent Bob Style ;) ) So I started dancing a little bit, and there were a lot of people there so it was getting kind of hot. Well I stopped dancing and started to kind of fan myelf to cool off. Well this guy who danced raver style to EVERY SONG (including Material Girl by Madonna  ) came up to me and started blowing on my neck and he whispered in my ear "that's what I would do if I was your fan." I was like wtf??? I mean, was that supposed to be a metaphor? Normally I am not rude to guys who hit on me even if they are lame, but he threw me off with that one, lol.

The dumbest thing I ever did. I told her how I felt. That was the biggest mistake of my life.

For one thing I never use pick up lines, I think their kind of childish and plain out retarded. If a girl falls for them that just says alot of things about her. Anyways the only thing I honestly can say I do that's pretty corny, is when I first met a girl and we have a conversation and she says something cute about herself I usually say "Will you marry me" as a joke and they usually laugh. Besides that, I can't think of much.

When I would take a tables order when I worked at Hooters I would always ask if they would like to try some wings and at least once a shift some goober would leer at me and say "Hows about a couple of breasts?" and then let out a big hyena laugh at how clever he was

It was mildly amusing at best, and that only about the first ten thousand times I heard it.

I don't know HOW you could have worked there?! I would have wanted to beat them over the head with my tray!

Optimist Prime, you get a hug. I almost cried when I read that. Maybe I shouldn't post at 4 am.

So the summer before my senior year in college my bf (not KappaStarboy) and I traveled to meet his grandparents. We were all out to lunch and, I kid you not, HE LICKED ME. In front of his grandparents, when I was nervous as all get-out about making a good impression. I was so stunned all I could do was look at him with my mouth open.

On the flip side, I participated in a stupid woman trick, sort of. My friend Jen and I were at a club, as is our usual MO, and I noticed this ADORABLE boy in the corner (this was before I met KSB). I was totally drooling but for all my years of rushing I have the worst time starting a conversation. So Jen, good friend that she is, shoves me backwards about three feet and I go crashing into him. That got me noticed.

We had a good time that night, but he never asked for my phone number. Sigh.

At work, we were having a family discount day for our employees to go to this nearby water park. I was the one who was selling the tickets to the employees. The name of park is Wet n' Wild. I had numerous guys walk over to me to buy tickets and say, "So, (snicker) are you the wet and wild woman (snicker, snicker)?" blehhhhhhhh!

Pickup lines are SO cheesy, but have any other girls used them on a guy? It's hilarious! At least from my experience, they get so embarrassed or shocked that they don't know what to do.

Case in point, we're at this bar in Chicago. My big sis is getting hit on by a mutual friend of ours - not hardcore hit on, mind you, but he wouldn't exactly have said no if she was like, "Sweet, let's go back to your place."

So he's trying to be all smooth and saunters over to her, and she goes - and for the record, I think this is my favorite cheesy pickup line EVER - "If you're going to regret this in the morning, we can just sleep until the afternoon."

He stops dead in his tracks, backs up, shakes his head, and walks away. With one line, she completely ruined his game. And the fact that I was pointing and laughing hysterically didn't help.

My favorite guy moment ever was when my tandem skydiving instructor tried to get me and the same big sis to go make a video in the back office with him. Riiiight. And then he gets mad when he figures out we were just joking around when we were like, "Well, only if you have _________." Hello, did you think I was serious?

If I said you had a nice body, would God be jealous if you washed your pants in windex?
