need help with recs!

Hey y'all! I am going to rush in the fall at Texas A&M in College Station and I was just wondering if any of yall can help me with my recs. I'm interested in rushing Kappa Delta, Alpha Chi Omega, Chi Omega, and Tri Delt! Thanks! I would really appreciate the help http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

RxyChrldr,

If you'd like I can help you get in contact with the Pi Phi alumna group nearest you. Unfortunately, I haven't dealt a lot with recs, but I can do what I can. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Good luck!

They'd see that in our hearts
We're Pi Phi's from the start

I know there are a lot more than four sororities at Texas A&M. I don't know if you didn't mention the other chapter because you already have your references, but I certainly hope that is the case. I would really hate to think that you have already narrowed it down before rush ever started...

RxyChrldr--
Having your grandmother write a rec is a good idea because anytime a legacy writes your rec, it is EXTRA SPECIAL. Also, just because an organization's chapter has closed, they are still able to write recs! So call that AOTT and get her to write you a rec!! Let me know if you have any more questions!

Okay, and now I feel really stupid because I didn't realize you didn't need recs from those sororities because they aren't even on your campus! Brain melt down there! Sorry!

RxyChrldr,

What school do you go to? I wasn't sure so I couldn't give you a person to contact, but here is the website that has all of the alumnae clubs nationwide and how to contact them. (Go to http://www.pibetaphi.org/alum/alfram.htm and click "Clubs Near You).

I also suggest talking to your previous high school teachers or adult friends. You never know who is an alumna! After rush I came back to visit some of my old high school teachers and found out that a lot of them were in sororities that I was interested in. Plus quite a few of them were in my sorority so that was a pleasant surprise! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif So keep asking around! If you need any further help please e-mail me at erniegurl00@hotmail.com.

Well shoot! I didn't realize that it was members only. I'm having problems logging into the Members Only site, but I'll keep trying. If I can get through I'll get you that info!

Oh, in my last post I forgot to mention these e-mail addresses. You can try to e-mail the Central Office at centraloffice@piphico.org or the Alumnae Services at pat@piphico.org. Hopefully they can help get you in touch with a local alumnae club.

I hope something works! I am glad I never had to have recs or else I probably wouldn't have been able to find one!
