It is good to be very careful. Please share whatever you feel comfortable with even if THAT part of your story never comes.

We are happy to see new people and REALLY love hearing new voices. Jump right on in and make yourself at home. WONDERFUL people here even if we do get "mad' at each other from time to time. You've found a very good place!

Thanks!! My rush story is as follows. I have never been the one to think that a sorority would be the place to find friends. Plus, on my campus, you were either in a all-white sorority or all-black sorority. None of my friends are all of the same race, so I would have been bored with either one. For the first two years of college, I had my friends, who were not students. Many of my friends have full time jobs, kids, boyfriends, and overtime, you just get sick of them not being able to hang out b/c they have to be with their boyfriend or they don't have anyone to babysit, or they have to work extra to get money to blow on something worthless. So, this summer, I saw a flier for a local sorority that is multicultural and I immediately started to look up info on the sorority and ask around about them. I checked out their webpage and I was totally impressed. So, I decided to rush. I'm glad that I did, b/c I met some cool girls with common interests. I could have easily rushed for another sorority where I would have been a legacy and more than likely got in. But, for me, it just felt good doing something that I wanted to do and earning my bid, not having it handed to me. That's my story and it's only the beginning!!!

You did it RIGHT! Many choose for the wrong reasons, but knowing yourself as you do, taking the time to research and making a choice based on your heart and NOT letters will bring you great happiness! So happy for you!
