alumnae panhel?

I'll be going to my first Alumnae Panhellenic meeting on the 19th.

Has anyone ever been to one before? What's it like? What kind of activities does your Alumnae Panhel do?

Congrats on representing your group in Panhell. Ours meets monthly to of course help and be available for the local collegiate Panhells. And to plan philanthropy events and fundraisers. Our main thing is to raise money for scholarships to give to high school students.

alumnae panhellenics

I have been to Alumnae Panhellenic events in both Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

If your group is anything like these groups, then prepare to be one of the youngest members there. http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies...sroom/waku.gif

Even when I went to the Ft. Laud Panhel luncheon this past spring (to support the president, who is a KD), I was one of the younger members!

But it's inspiring to see all these women (from different sororities & different schools) getting together at their age to promote greek life. http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies...ggrindaisy.gif

No George won't be there. He has a prior engagement with the ladies from Duquesne I'm sure!

I'll see the two of you there!!!

Our local APH hosts a fundraising luncheon each year and the funds raised go towards the scholarships we offer. In addition, we participate in the local school district's college night.

This year we are doing a BIG public relations push in conjunction with the NPC Centennial and hope to have a Recruitment Information Tea next summer for recent graduates and their mothers.

We have a good sized APH, but unfortunately some of the alumnae groups in town do not provide a representative to us. In fact, fully half of the reps on our APH don't even have chapters in the area. The age range is all over the board and we have a GREAT time at our events and meetings. I'm entering my second and final term as APH president. I previously served two terms as VP.
