We're expanding!!!!!
 

I am sooo excited! After months of talking and planning, my sorority, Iota Beta Chi, is attempting to expand to a Beta Chapter!:) How cool is that?! We've only been around since 1996 so we're still pretty small and new, but we got interest at another university in Canada (and pretty close by too!) so as of next week, one girl there will be starting a rush at her school, aided by our sisters!:)

The best part of this?! She found out about our sorority through our website...which my husband designed in '98 and I currently maintain!:) Just from our site, she knew that she wanted to be affiiliated with us because she loved everything about our sorority!:) Just from my site!!!! Amazing!!!:)

So, I thought I'd throw this out to y'all and hope you'll help me in welcoming our (soon-to-be) Beta Chapter of Iota Beta Chi.....from the University of New Brunswick-Fredericton!:):D

Just wanted to say congratulations on your expansion. As a new organization I can understand the thrill. We are currently expanding as well and it is a very exciting thing. Good luck and I hope to see you growing in chapters.

I still can't believe this is happening! We're still very young, but we have a lot of energetic, hopeful sisters...and one very dedicated potential sister!:)

I'll keep y'all updated as the pledging/expansion progresses!:D

Here's to hoping that it works out though...even though they are close, we still are not there....and it takes sooo much work!! Has anyone else been involved in setting up another chapter of their local?

I am posting from Tallahassee.....that's where I live now. However, my sorority is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada...where I was born and lived for most of my life!:) My husband works in Tallahassee, I'm a student here (at TCC right now, but I'm transferring to FSU for next fall!:D) So we're a Canadian local. Actually I do have some questions about Greek Life @ FSU...maybe you can help?! I'll send you a PM. Who knows...if the Beta Chapter works out in New Brunswick...maybe we CAN do the Gamma chapter at FSU!:D

Hey my sister!! I didn't think you still came to this site! I hope that y'all do get this thing started. I know how hard it's gonna be to get the Beta chapter up, but think of all the kick-ass sisters we have now who are willing to work on it?! All the motivation we have.....just look at the rush! I've been hearing great things (mostly from Lorraine and Julie) about rush week so far!:) And, you know me, I'm a total optimist, so I'm totally pulling for y'all....all the way from the Sunny South!:)
