How was recruitment at ASU? I feel so out of the loop now that I'm an alum and my chapter is not active at ASU. Anyone know?

I know that 6 of the 10 sororities made quota, and quota was 48. Sorry I don't know more! :)

Recruitment at ASU was GREAT!!! I believe around 430 girls joined houses.
Only 4 houses didn't make quota. On BID DAY the numbers were as follows:
ADPi-48
Alpha Phi-48
Pi Phi-48
Theta-48
Kappa-50
Gamma Phi-49
Chi O-47
DG-46
AChiO-37?
AGD-17
I know that some sororities gave out snap bids, so more have probably made quota.
Bid Day was at Old Main and it was really exciting cause the girls ran down the stairs to their new sisters that were anxiously awaiting and cheering for them. The state press said it was the best rush in years:)

I heard that the new ice water round was very successful and that it really "leveled the playing field" in the first round. Any feedback from PNM's or the other side?

What's the ice water thing?? I know what you mean sigkapdancer, I didn't even know when they had rush!!!!

ps-- i want to say congratulations to AGD, i know that they were one of the smallest chapters along with us, and 17 girls is really wonderful for them!! I wish you nothing but the best in the coming years, I think you guys are going to blow up soon!

The icewater thing was kinda lame in my opinion. I mean, ya it was good cause it made everyone seem like they had an equal amount of members, but the rushees only got to talk to members for 4 minutes before they had to switch to the next house. Then they had to drop 3 based on that 4 minute conversation.

sundevil2000 ~ can you describe what the round 1 was like a bit more? Was it like booths set up that the pnms could walk around too or still structured like parties??? :confused:

Rushees visited a table set up by every house for 4 minutes each. Chapters were limited in the number of members at the tables. I would love to hear a PNM's perspective.

Now that we've talked about the sororities, does anyone know how the fraternities did with their recruitment?

A little bit off subject, but...

Any idea how fraternity rush went? We have a colony out there who just moved into a huge new house and were planning on a big year.

If they pulled well enough, they were probably going to get re-chartered this year...
