Strange phone call
 

Have you ever gotten a phone call out of the blue from somebody you haven't talked to in a while?

Yesterday as I am leaving work my cell phone rings. It was one of my sorority sisters that I haven't talked to in ages! I'm not really that close with her but I was the only one who stuck up for her after she went inactive a couple of years ago. Anyway, she is now working in Detroit and she wanted to know how far away from Detroit I lived. I live 2 1/2 hours away. She wanted to know if I wanted to meet up with her some place and go shopping. I was kind of surprised to hear from her but I'm glad she called. Does anyone else find this kind of odd?

YEA! I totally know what you mean. For me it's alittle different though. I've recieved phone calls from chicks that I hooked up with 3-4 years ago and whom I only hung out with for about a week. Once it was so bad i had no idea who this girl was. Seriously, She had to describe herself to me and tell me what apartment complex she lived in. By her saying " yea, I met you one night at groove" didn't help the slightest bit.

Anyhow, I know the feeling......

I can completely relate! I got a phone call not too long ago from one of my sorority sisters who I hadn't seen since my sophomore year when she transferred to another school. Turns out, she ran into one of my little sisters (DZ) -- they're both nurses at the same hospital -- and it made her think about getting in touch with me. I was so excited to hear from her! Unfortunately, we haven't been able to meet up yet because her hospital schedule is so crazy. I'm hoping to see her soon, though! :)

Not really strange. I have a buddy that I met in 1992. The last time I spoke to him was three years ago when he got married, was living in Miami, and flying for Atlas Air. He called last night and he is living in Hampton, Va working as a pilot for NASA at Langley. He is going to Houston for two weeks in November and I am going to drive over to have dinner some night.

This isn't really somebody that I used to hang out with. That is why I was surprised to get a random phone call from her.
