Bid Day Gifts?
 

What does your soror give away on Bid Day. I NEED ideas!!!!

On Bid Day I received a bag full of stuff plus a bunch of balloons tied to it. The bag had been decorated with our symbols. Inside there were a few decorated picture frames, cups, and a bag of candy that had ribbon in our colors around it. I also got a few carnations (our flower). I'm not really sure of anything else, but if I think of anything I'll tell you! Good luck!

at the bid night party, they had gift bags prepared for each of us with--

--our pledge class t-shirt (a similar design to the older girls' rush shirts from that year, but slightly different)... at my college all the new pledges of all houses wear their pledge shirts to class the next day.
--a few of those clear plastic picture frames handpainted with our letters
--a couple of note pads and post-it pads with our symbols and name (these can be ordered or bought in greek stores)

i think we also got to keep the flower that we are given in the pledge ceremony (on bid night where pledge pins are given).

we have also given pledges those keychain/id holder thingies that we ordered from somewhere.

another good idea would be to include a car sticker.

We don't usually give anything until their first chapter meeting. I mean they do get their new member shirt, but that's it. They get what we call violet sisters who give them a little something at every meeting until they get their big sis. The violet sisters are also the ones who put their shirts on them on bid day.

We give our new members on bid day the bid day shirt that we are all wearing. (Bids are given out at noon so they wear their's the rest of the day) We also give them car stickers, balloons, and the flower that each one of them had during the pref ceremony the night before. Last year we also made them braclets in our colors. (Kind of like the ones that you can get at Express or Limited...the ones made out of beads and there are like 10 different braclets in one pack.) They were really easy to make and the new members still wear them. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I am Pledge Ed this year, and I'm giving our new members a Bid Day T-shirt, a frame with our letters on it, and a matching cup. Since our theme this year is luau, the new girls are also getting silk flower leis.

We got a totebag with our letters on it (ordered from a local place that also does greek t-shirts),our bid day shirt, a large cup with our letters(found at the greek shop), a picture frame, pens and pencils with our letters and a small bag of candy with a ribbon tied around it that had the sorority name. Basic stuff really.We also make cute signs for the girls that have their name on it that go along with our theme so they can find their Bid Day buddy.
