Hi! I'm a proud member of the Delta Theta chapter (Cal Poly, SLO) of Gamma Phi Beta. I just wanted to say hello...we have recruitment right around the corner (September 27th) and this will be my first formal recruitment. I am VERY excited to be taking a lil this fall as well! I hope everyone is has had/is having/will be having :) a great recruitment!

I am an OLD but proud Beta Alpha (USC) Gamma Phi and I wish you and Delta Theta the best rush ever -- gotta keep Gamma Phi strong! How many girls sign up to go thru rush?

The official numbers aren't in yet, but we are expecting anywhere from 300 to 400 girls to go through.Which is a lot for a school with a greek system as small as ours! Compared to USC's that is :) They changed the dates on us, so we start the Friday after the first week of classes instead of prior to the first week of classes, and they took out two whole days!!! Eeek! But I'm sure it will still be great :) I've heard great things about the Gamma Phis at USC, I have a friend who is a Sig Ep there, and he looooooooves gamma phi girls :)

...how many sororities are there at Cal Poly SLO? I am sure Gamma Phi is the best of them all, right?!;) What do you do for rush -- skits? videos? philanthropy day?

We have 6 soroities...Alpha Phi, Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Omircon Pi, Kappa Alpha Theta, Sigma Kappa, and of Course Gamma Phi Beta! I strongly believe we are the best house on campus! We dominated the greek awards this year , winning three out of 7 awards : most improved gpa, best philanthropy event, and SORORITY OF THE YEAR!!!! Rush will be a little different this year, considering we only have 3 days. Day one will probably be mostly an intro to the houses, so lots of singing and a slide show, and day two will be philanthropy day (not quite sure of the activity yet) day three is Preference night which we have two parties (dinner and desert) and it should be beautiful, I know last years was.
