Typing Greek Letters on the forum?
Does anyone know of a way to actually type Greek Letters on this forum? It doesn't look like any of the fonts allow it and I don't see any other way to do it directly. The best that I've been able to do is generate them in a sandbox on Wikipedia and copy them over (which appears to work just fine for example, ΑΦΩ).

Being home sick, I was able to play around with this. What you want to do is click on Fonts, and select any one of them. Change the name of the font to symbol. So it's like [FONT="Symbol"] [FONT] (but close the font). Use the capitals, and enlarge the size.
It'll take some time to figure out which letter works for which Greek letter, but Gamma Phi Beta is GFB, or GFB. Enjoy! |

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ At one point back in the 1990s someone even included AFW on the list of Alpha Phi Omega abbreviations, and I just about jumped through the screen at them. I've sent more polite emails to state campaign chairs for the current US President. And by the way, the two "extra characters" the ones that J and V map to? the J is an alternate capital Theta and the V is the final lowercase sigma. |
Looks like the Symbol trick isn't working anymore.

Looks fine to me. |
It must depend on something on the person viewing's side. They don't appear as Greek letters to me.

I looked at this thread on Google chrome and the Greek letters appeared. I'm viewing it now on Firefox and it's just Roman letters.
