Some Sick People out there
 

Saw this in my paper today. With all the sexual assualt cases brought to the forefront lately, and those victums are messed up for life emotionally, bu this is a new low. His life is over.

Cases liek this deserve to have the law re-written. Should have murder charge against him. Death penalty would be nice, but hed never live through the appeals. THis guy wont last long in prison. Hopefully he'll be in the general prison poplation. Let them handle it. Hell probably go to an aids ward tho.

I truely believe theres a special hell for peopel like him.. Ruined my day when I read this.

Man gets 40 years in AIDS rapes

A 58-year-old man with AIDS who transmitted the deadly disease to a boy he repeatedly raped for several years was sentenced Thursday to 40 years in prison.
He received another 10 years for fondling one of the boy's friends.

Hector Chapa of San Antonio avoided a trial by pleading guilty Thursday in an agreement with prosecutors.

In a statement to police, Chapa admitted to the sexual assaults since the boy was 11. Chapa continued the assaults even after he learned he was HIV-positive.

He since has developed AIDS.

Chapa also pleaded guilty to indecency with a child, a charge stemming from a separate incident involving a 13-year-old boy he fondled at Chapa's house, where the assaults on the first boy occurred.

Chapa was arrested days after the first victim fell ill and went to a hospital in May 2000. His family thought he might have meningitis; instead, he tested positive for HIV.

At that point, the teen told his mother about the years of assaults. She called police.

The victim, now 20, also has developed AIDS.

He was in the courtroom Thursday but didn't testify.

The San Antonio Express-News does not name victims of sexual assault.

Because Chapa knew he had the AIDS virus while raping the child, the charge was increased to a first-degree felony, prosecutors said.

Assistant District Attorney Jamissa Jarmon said her office could have pursued attempted murder charges, but that charge carries a maximum of only 20 years in prison.

"This was really sad, one of the lowest I've had," Jarmon said. "The defendant essentially gave him a terminal disease."

Chapa, a gray-haired, bespectacled man who worked at a Northwest Side convenience store, appeared in court Thursday shackled and in an orange jail jumpsuit. He never looked at the victims' family members who filled two rows near the back of the courtroom.

His voice quivered and broke as he answered, "Yes," and, "No," to 379th District Court Judge Bert Richardson's questions.

Richardson ultimately sentenced him to the 40- and 10-year sentences, which will be served at the same time.

In open court, Jarmon read statements written by the first victim and his sister.

"I would like to see Hector Chapa get life, but I don't want to talk about it, or look at him, or see him in court," he wrote. "He has already ruined my family and my life."

His sister's letter echoed his sentiments, noting the family members had trusted Chapa and he had betrayed them.

Chapa showed no reaction as the statements were read.

According to a confession dated May 15, 2000, Chapa said he found out he was HIV-positive in 1998. He said that on New Year's Day 1999, he once again had sex with his long-term victim.

He said he routinely lured his victim by offering him gifts and money.

"I am very sad, and I truly, truly, regret having sex (with the victim)," he wrote. "I don't know what made me do it. I would like to get some religious help so that I can repent and cleanse myself of all of this."

The case repeatedly had been postponed because of health problems suffered by Chapa and his victim. Chapa has remained in Bexar County Jail since his arrest.

I simply have no words that I could use to express the depth of my disdain. There are some horrific things going on. Though this is not the first, I hate to say we ALL know it won't be the last.

People never cease to amaze me.

You know, there are alot of backward policies in China, but this is when I would apply their execution technique: Take this guy out back, put a bullet in his head, then charge his family for the price of the bullet.

This is so horrific... He doesn't deserve to die of AIDs in a jail's hospital... his medication and treatment should not have to be paid for by taxpayer money... This man should be executed for sending that poor boy to a slow death.

It's things like this that make me wonder, if things happen for a reason, then what is the reason for this happening? How TERRIBLE that a young boy was not only raped, but is now raped of his life because he has AIDS, which there is NO cure for.
And all the guy said is he's sad and regrets doing it and wants to seek religious help so he can repent. WTF!!! No "I'm sorry?" Jeez at least he could have said SORRY...not like that'd be any better.

This is just absolutely awful, but you know, a conversation I had with my mom earlier today left me :mad: :mad: :mad: !!!!!!!!!

My mom and I were talking about my uncle today and I remembered that a friend of my uncle's may have AIDS, so I asked my mom about it and she told me that yes, he does have AIDS, and also, is a whore who is sleeping around w/o protection and is transmitting the disease!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad: :mad: I have always loved this guy; he is like family to me. After hearing this from my mom today, I have lost all respect for this guy. I wondered what could possibly be done to end this crap!! He is obviously acting very "whore-ish" and thus, is transmitting this disease to tons of people who don't even know it!!!!!!!! What the hell am I supposed to do??? I feel horrible for all of those people this guy has transmitted the disease to!!!!!!! Seriously, next time I see this guy, I will have some words for him, but I will certainly contain myself and not say a single word to the idiot!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:



ps - Sorry for all of the "hate" in this post, but this is all still very fresh to me and it is just absolutely horrible and ridiculous!!!!!!!!!
