eBay thing

This strikes me as odd... this woman's selling this little sailor hat and says she'll ship for free if someone tells her the "secret passwords" of Sigma Kappa. Does anyone else find that more than a little weird?

That's whacked...

PSUSigKap 08-30-2002 09:20 PM

is she a sigma kappa who would send it free to a sister? in any case it's weird. . .

PSUSigKap 08-31-2002 12:50 AM

i totally agree. . .it was just a thought. . .i don't know why she would want to know our secrets. . .weird. . .

Dove Gal 09-01-2002 11:58 AM

That makes me so mad  If she is or is not a sister she has no business asking that kind of question. What Sigma Kappa in their right mind would what to buy that hat, by telling our secrets? Don't you ladies think that we should tell Nationals about this

UTSigKap 09-01-2002 12:03 PM

the ebay bit

who the heck would want the sailor hat anyway? i think nationals already knows because they tend to monitor the ebay stuff pretty closely looking for people selling pins and promise books and stuff. i don't think she's a sister, just a nosey person who wants to know what is up with our great sisterhood. so blah to her cause she will never know!

DigitalAngel126 09-02-2002 03:11 AM

hey all...the whole scenario was bothering me so I took the initiative to email her and this was her reply:

"I am a Sigma Kappa, Class of 1990, Longwood College, Farmville, VA. You
learn all the secret "things" at initiation and you always wonder, "When am
I ever going to use this?!?!?!"

Thanks for asking! One Heart One Way."

Take that how you want it, but also keep in mind that you don't have to tell her any secerets to buy it..She'll just ship it for free if you do.... Anyhow, there yo go :)

Psycho - I don't like this woman one bit - even if she is a sister.
If she really is a Sigma Kappa, she would know the proper procedures for revealing secret "passwords" and so forth, which we all know it is forbidden to write any of it down, especially in e-mail!!

alphaiota 09-14-2002 09:28 PM

if i were you i'd email her back and tell her it is very un-sigma kappa like to do such things. i'd also check with nationals about whether she's telling the truth or not. this is exactly how sorority secrets get out.

ok, so

Why don't we just ignore the whole thing. I am sure that any Sig Kap woulds't fall for anything like that. "Secret" things aren't used on that type of basis anyways.

SigKapSundevil 09-19-2002 12:54 AM

weird

someone should make up a fake password for her. but the fact that she asked for passwordS, like how many is she saying there are?? i don't think she is a sister. if she is she's just plain stupid.
