Serena Williams is causing a STIR with the outfit that she wore to
the US Open last night.

She's rockin' a daisy duke style, all-in-one, black leather-look, skin-tight outfit with pink wristbands and a diamond tiara. If you saw the tennis match, then you would have seen that she had booty shakin' out all of the courts.

Now, Serena is an incredible tennis player, and I'm not knockin' her at all. Part of me is like...g'on w'cha bad self...the other part of me is like...giirrrllll...get yo tail in the house and put on 'yo tennis skirt...lookin' like you going straight to the club and stuh right after you whup this white girl's a$$ in tennis.

Shoot, if I had a banging body like THAT, I wouldn't be scared of wearing the gear.

Also, Soror, did you check out Serena's Harry Winston diamond tennis bracelet? It has nine carats and cost $29K.

Soror Steeltrap - - you got that right. I guess Serena threw it out there and many people aren't ready for all that just yet. Some are still getting used to all this ethnicity in tennis.

Oh...and that HW tennis bracelet is incredible.

I ain't mad at 'cha Serena...express yourself!

Who is she dating? I'll hang onto the other question after I get a response on that...because I have a little "fear" on the possible answer!! LOL :D

Soror, the last time I checked, Serena's been rumored to have dated LaVar Arrington, the Washington Redskins' linebacker, and C.C. Sabathia, a brotha who pitches for the Cleveland Indians. C.C.'s huge: he stands 6-7 or 6-8 and weighs close to 300 lbs.

Please believe that I am not knocking Serena. Her bangin' body is the reason I took up tennis. I wish I can look like that one day. However, from that pic, the outfit/get-up looks sort of, um, nasty. :rolleyes:

I was :eek: when I saw Serena last night. I must admit that I actually felt....embarassed. She looked so rap music video skank-ish. It was terrible. Her butt was hanging out of the outfit. Very unclassy (if that is even a word). She has a nice body and everything (hell, so do I ) but I think that outfit was just tasteless. Be unique, be sexy, without looking like a prostitute. I mean, this is her profession, look professional.

In all seriousness, I try really hard to not down 'us' for not conforming to what another culture thinks is 'proper' (ie: having straight hair {not able to wear locks and twist and such in the working environment])

Serena, because of all that 'jelly', is walking a fine line between her natural expression of tennis fashion and being crass.

I wonder if fries didn't go with her shake, if the press would be all over her dress. When Andre Agassi was wearing all that neon back in the early '90's, he was tauted as pushing tennis fashion forward (so to speak).

Why isn't the press talking about the skin-tight wear that Anna Kornikova wears on the court (with her nipples about to poke somebody's eyes out)? Why? Because she's not 1/2 of the most dominant pair of siblings to ever play one sport.. that's why.. + her skin is not darker than 'blue'.

I missed the match so I wasn't able to see what she looked like playing in the outfit, but looking at the pic in the link, all I will say is that it looks hot as hell. I mean hot as in she looks like she was sweating to death. :)

I don't see anything wrong with the outfit from the picture. She looks fine as far as my opinion goes. If she has it then I say it is her business the way she flaunts it. I would work out in something like this if the mood hit me.

That is my $ .08 worth.

Soror, WHO CARES!!! *Doin' my happy dance* C.C. is free and single again!!!!!!! :) I knew once she put that blonde mess in her hair that he'd be back. (Hater mode, hater mode, lol) Serena's little butt prolly couldn't handle all that man. But a sista like me.....

Note to self: find out where Indians players hang out. And go there! :p

But for real, if she was comfy playing in that, more power to her. Now, if her booty cheeks was really peekin' out... I don't know about all that. That is, as the Ashleys say, SCANDALOUS!

I must say, I believe that Serena & Venus for that matter has EARNED the right to wear what ever they want to a tennis match because you know that they are gonna KICK-BUTT!!

However, that Anna Kornakova (sp?) chick from Russia is ALWAYS posted-up on the court in some micro-mini skirt, and HAS YET TO WIN A TOURNAMENT! (what's up with that?)
