Greeks who co-op
For those Greeks that participate in their College’s Cooperative Education Program, especially those that co-op far away from campus; how does/did your chapter handle your membership financially while you are away? For example, my chapter let me pay my portion of the insurance and National obligations but not the full quarterly dues because I wasn’t on campus to take part in activities. Of course I was welcomed back at any events, the distance just made it impractical for me to come back often. Once I got a pay raise I continued to pay my full dues while away. Just curious how other chapters handled this issue, thanks!

We've had a few guys co-op, and they are just treated as if they are not there as far as dues go. why should we have to pay insurance on a guy that's not going to have a claim because he's not there? if you aren't in school for the quarter, then it's just like summer break or something. they aren't included in the count for active members, but I think there is a form or box or something that can be checked, so it's not like they're taken off the roster and added back later. IHQ knows what's up with it.

Hey, I'm co-oping now (thus my high number of posts.. 8 hours in front of a computer, programming) Anyway, I drive an hour to work everyday, so I am not home to do anything, and I wont go to parties since i get up at 6 everyday.. anyway. I am only paying national dues, and I dont go to chapter, mixers, or crush parties... or formals (WHICH SUCKS) But I still go around late night to get to know the new girls!!
I'm on "status" ... sorry I know that doesnt mean anything |
