Baby Eli has arrived!
 

Hello all! Just wanted to let everyone know baby Eli finally arrived on Saturday at 4:26 pm, weighing 9 lb. 5 oz, and was 21 1/2 inches long! Everyone is doing fine, and I'm sure AXO Alum will update all in the next few days...she should be coming home on Monday!

Everything went PERFECT! I could not have asked for a better labor and delivery (okay - I threw my guts up twice, and that wasn't so hot, but the rest was great!) -- my team was wonderful too!

I labored a total of 36 hours (including the beginning stuff that just makes you feel worn out more than anything) but only had hard labor for 2 hours. Of course with an epidural, it didn't seem like that long. In fact, my epidural was SO good that I pretty much slept through most of it -- including in between pushes!! I was very lucky :)

Eli is just great - looks just like his daddy - and has a great temperment. He sleeps from about 11pm to about 6am, we get up and nurse, and go back to sleep until around 10am -- isn't that just GREAT!! I am so excited to sleep like that with him!

So -- that is how we are doing - for now anyway! I really appreciate all your thoughts and prayers!!

DO YOU KNOW HOW LUCKY YOU ARE? A SLEEPING BABY!

Mine had colic so bad we even bought one of those teddy bears with the heartbeat to try and calm her down and relax her after feeding.

I WANT TO HOLD A BABY AGAIN!!! I want to smell No More Tears baby shampoo- CLEAN BABY-one of the sweetest fragrances in the WORLD!

HOW DID I MISS THIS THREAD???!!! GAAAAHHH, that's what I get for going on vacation!!!

Justamom - I'm like you - I love baby fixes! Got to have them! I just love the way they just lay there and let you hold them for hours on end, and those sweet little noises they make! I'd have more babies except for that little thing called labor and the fact that like puppies and kittens, they do grow up! Not to say I don't love my other three girlies, but they don't let me baby them anymore! BOO HOO! AXO ALUM, I'm ready for my fix now! Name the time!
