transferring
 

I am currently an initiated member of Sigma Kappa. However, there is a small chance that I might transfer next year. I know I cannot join a NPC sorority, but the school I would transfer to has Kappa Beta Gamma. I am under the impression that this is not a NPC sorority, so could I join it?

It depends on if KBG is affiliated with the college Panhellenic. If they are, they would be part of an agreement not to offer membership to NPC members.

It matters if KBG is a member of the college/ university Panhellenic, not on a national/ international basis? Huh... I didn' t know that!

It would depend on that school's college Panhellenic bylaws. You'd need to check with the Greek Adviser once you get on campus.

On their website, it lists KBG along with the other NPC sororities and they have recruitment with all the other sororities so I'm guessing they are.

I would still ask. You never know the particulars until you do.
