I was shopping at Target with my mom yesterday and this random guy came up to me and was like hey you in that frat? Im like well yes im in a fratERNITY. Hes like oh so your responsible for the assasination of JFK and MLK jr. Im like um im like 23 so no. He's like not your personally but you frat and sorority members are responsible for their deaths. Im like are you drunk buddy?!?! He starts getting really loud and says don't deny it young man!!!! You know what im talking about!!!!!! My mom was freaking out and luckily target security person was walking by and said if he didn't leave they would have him escorted out. But i was like WOAH what a wacko....but hey whats the deal with us knocking off JFK and MLK jr?!?!?! You fellow greeks keeping something from me?!?!?!?! LOL. Have any of you guys heard of this conspiracy theory...i haven't.

shush, we can not let the world know.

Meet me in you know where so we can talk about you know who and determine the outcome of you what.

Well, given that most prominant historians agree that there was some group effort involved in the assassinations of both parties; and given that these same historians agree that the U.S. Government was at least marginally involved in said assassinations; and given that a high percentage of U.S. Government officials are Greek; then I would say that it's likely that at least one fraternity or soroity member had something to do with the assassinations of President Kennedy and Dr. King.

I myself am an historian. I have neither read nor heard of any historiographical work that specifically implicates a conspiracy of Greeks, whether actives or alumni, in either assassination.

I would posit that the individual who submitted this theory to you also believes that the U.S. Government is involved in a conspiracy to further the attempt of an alien race to conquer and subjugate we inhabitants of Planet Earth to a battery of physiological and psychological tests and tortures, and that the U.S. Government is cooperating with these beings in exchange for alien aviation technology (among other things).

Not Greeks, free Masonry

We GLOs get blamed for a lot of the stuff these Masons do.

But I think if campuses keep taking away our parties, sex, and hazing, we may have to find something exciting to do. This community service stuff is getting boring.

HotDamnImAPhiMu 08-22-2002 01:08 PM

Bwahahahaha. Hoosier, that cracked me up.

That said, I think sometimes secrets scare people -- no matter how harmless they actually are. So secret societies are of course pretty mind-numbing to folks like that.

SparkliiQTMTSU 08-22-2002 01:29 PM

HAHA thats rediculious!! I have never heard that one before. But I do agree that sometimes what people arent involved in *IE secrets...that they do tend to make silly things up like that.

Nichole

I'm sorry, but only Moderators are allowed to know the truth.

DeltaSigStan 08-23-2002 09:26 PM

You should have asked him if he actually finished High School....wait, that might be a stretch for him...........

Richard(SNU) 08-23-2002 11:48 PM

Hoosier's right - It's the "Mason thing". GLO's have a strong
historical connection to Masonry (and in the case of Acacia the
connection is quite explcit). But so does the Mormon Church and no
one connects them to the JFK assasination. Or do they??? =:-o

It probably had something to do with a scavenger hunt.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE these threads!

PSSSSSSSSSSST Killarney,I heard Carnation was IN on it, but TOM planned the whole thing!

DeltAlum 08-24-2002 10:35 PM

Actually, there was a plot, but it failed.

Neil Armstrong was supposed to bring his Phi Delt badge back from the moon and stab these guys with it.

Unfortunately, he screwed up and left it up there, so the conspiracy fell apart.

I believe it was originally set up by a famous Greek named Anastas. I'n not sure which GLO he was part of.

Oh, wait, the guy's name was Onasis -- Anastas was a TV anchor in New York.

I hope this post makes at least as much sense as "Greek Conspiracy" theory.

I need to get Earp to help me get my thoughts together.
