Recruitment Is Over
 

well ladies, UNA's recruitment is over!! it was so great being on the other side of things. we got 21 new girls so now our membership is 55...we were 30 something. it was such an awesome recruitment. i hope you all have a great recruitment also. :)

Way to recruit those Alphas, UNA Alpha Delta Pi! You girls rocked your rush! I love hearing that! You basically doubled your chapter size with one Rush. Damn, you girls are good. Please give yourself a pat on the back for me. Also, remember to give my most sincere compliments to your Recruitment V.P. and advisor, they are obviously hard working, talented women.

Give us some details, were you nervous, excited, did you pref someone? Which cheers/walk songs did you use?

thanks so much ladies for being so excited!!! hehe. and violets to answer your question.....the songs for the first night we sang boom boom, go greek, i am a pi girl, and we the girls of white and blue. the second night we sang come on in join the fun, a-l-p-h-a, a d cutie pi, and oh when an adpi walks down the street. theme night our skit was adpirates which was so cute....and we sang songs that were in the skit. and pref night we sang little adpi, my adpi, love can build a bridge, a sister is forever, and heirlooms. and on bid day we did a lot of the same songs and a few new ones....it was so hectic that day i can hardly remember. the first few days i was very very nervous about everything since this was my first time on the other side of things...hehe. pref night was a very nice night and i cried all 3 parties....haha. i only had 2 girls that night....one ended up going another sorority but the other one that i had went us. after the ceremony was over on pref night before we could even get back to our chairs she grabbed me and cried and that moment was when i knew she was going adpi.....it was so touching and something that i will never forget. sorry violets for this being so long but i hope you enjoy it.

A rush post, too long? Never. :D
Honestly it all brought back such good memories.
My chapter did AdPirates as well, it's a cute skit.
It sound like you guys had a wonderful time. I'm so happy for your Preference experience as well, that is something that you'll hold onto for a long time.
Also, think how helpful you will be to new sisters who are on the other side next year. You will be able to really coach them or Preffing, and identify with their feelings if the Pref guest does not go ADPi (her loss I'm sure;) ).
You'll be a great asset.
I'm sure UNA Alpha Delta Pi is off to a roaring starting this year. (Wow, I didn't even mean to make that "roaring" Lion pun, it seriously just came out in the midst of typing. Do you think this means I should maybe lay off GC for a while?):eek:
Thanks again kayla for sharing everything with us, and I fully expect you to dutiful report the other wonderful events your chapter goes through this year, Homecoming, Formals, Diamond Days etc...

Like I suggested on the ASU thread, you should definitely post your chapter's amazing recruitment experience on "Pride Online" on www.alphadeltapi.org. It would, I'm sure, be very inspirational to other chapters to read about the details of how you handled this rush since the results were so fabulous.
Just a thought. Hope you all are doing well there!
