Birth Control Patch

I just saw a commercial for a Birth Control Patch called "Ortho Evra." It's like the pill but a patch, obviously, that you attach once per week. Has anyone heard of this or tried it?

I was part of the study group during the third year of the trials. I really liked it. I had no complaints, and am pleased to see that it is being marketed now. If it is available in this area, I might get my doctor to switch me.

So is it clear? Where do you put it? How long do you leave it on? Fill us in.

It is not clear and it looks like you can stick it anywhere that it wouldn't show. I just wonder how it would be affected by swimming.

Do they work like the pills or more like the shot? I have the shot and I dont get "that time of the month" which is sooo great but I know that you do with the pills.

I think that they change out once a week for three weeks then you skip a week.

I saw that commercial and was like WOW! I hated the pill being on the pill but i might this.

I tried the patch . . . but everytime I use it I feel sick and gain wait . . . the pill makes me a little psycho . . . sigh.

Birth Control is tough . . .

I'd be interested in using a patch cuz i forget to take my pill sometimes. But I also have questions like swimming or bathing with it and how effective it is.

Hmm, I don't think I'd like to try the patch.

I'll stay with the pill. It doesn't cause me any side effects and I hardly forget to take the pill.

I saw the commercial and they show a woman put it on and then go into a swimming pool, so it may be water proof. I also heard that it's a lot like Ortho-tri Cyclen so you have to be good with taking that to be good with having the patch.

ya i saw that commmerical but if you're using birth control, you're most likely having sex, with some exceptions...but if you were "active" would you really want your boyfriend to feel a patch on your back, butt, or stomach....i don't know, i really wouldn't but maybe they're really thin or something...
