Alumna Initiate Question
 

I am going to contact IHQ about this to, but I was wondering if some of you could give me feedback too.

I have a friend who I think would be a good Alumna Initiate. I know that in college she wanted to join a sorority but her boyfriend at them time (now ex-fiance/boyfriend) told her he would have nothing to do with her if she did. A few months ago, the subject was brought up again (when they were still engaged), and I told her she could still do it through Alum Initiation, but he shook his head and she said no, that it was ok and she wasnt really interested. I know that she is however. And he's gone (forgive me if I jump up and down).
So has anyone ever recommended someone for Alum Initiation?
Does anyone know the process and what you have to do?

I have recommended someone for alumna initiation and she was initiated in 1999 at Convention. It was a very special initiation becuase it was my mom! :)

PM me if you would like specifics but here is the quick version...
1) Have the woman attend alumnae events so that women know her.
2) Needs to be sponsored by an alumnae group/collegiate chapter
3) Fill out application and send it in for approval!

That is it!!! I am actually going through the process now with a friend who is interested in being initiated at Chapman this fall.

I would love to have my mom share my Alpha Gam experiences!! She has never gone to college though, is that a requirement?

I just want those initiated during college or by alumnae initiation to BE ACTIVE!! ;) :D
