Panhellenic vs. Asian Panhellenic
Hi,
So I am initiated in a Panhellenic sorority at a university right now, and I am transferring to another university next year. There are some Asian sororities at the university I am transferring to. I was told by my Panhellenic sorority that if I transfer, I immediately become an alum of that sorority. Am I still allowed to rush the Asian sorority next year? The Asian sorority is not Panhellenic. |

Re:
how would I find out with the Asian sororities? Do I contact their president?
also, would i be able to join a spirit group if I transfer?
Does your sorority have a chapter at the new school? You might be able to affiliate. As to Spirit groups, you would be eligible to join.
no it sadly doesnt :( but in regards to the asian sorority, do y'all think i can? since the asian sorority isn't panhellenic?
I have no idea what their policy might be. If they are a national org, perhaps you could phone the national office and ask them directly.
ok thank you! hopefully they will let me rush :) because I thought that if you are initiated in a panhellenic sorority, you just can't rush into other panhellenic ones

THat's a Panhellenic rule. What other councils require is up to them. The Greek Adviser at your new school may be able to help you with that answer.
