A book about a Phi Mu
|
I think I should mention it's about a lesbian Phi Mu relating her experience with the chapter during the 1950s.
|
This just goes to show you that every chapter is different....and what might happen in one chapter might not be the same reaction of another chapter,
at least i know here that anything a sister says or does, she is and always will be loved by her sisters no matter the circumstances |
I have to admit when I opened the link for the book my first thought was, "Here's Cheergrl with yet ANOTHER post dealing with homosexuality  " BUT...after reading about the book, I have to say that it looks like it would be an interesting read!
Cheergrl, it is so easy for many of us (especially us old folks!) to be closeminded about certain issues and I must commend you for being bold enough to keep bringing the issue of homosexuality to the forefront. It is good to have you on GreekChat; I think you should post more often because someone as vocal as you definitely has the potential to become a voice for other young people leading an alternative lifestyle. Bravo! :) |
i was a little distressed to read the forward becuase how her chapter treated her wasn't fair at all. they treated her more like someone they had merely tolerated because she was the same as them (until they found out otherwise) instead of treating her like a sister and friend. However, I agree with moonstar, what happens in one chapter doesn't mean that it would happen in another chapter. I also am glad that today a sister is loved because of who she is, not who we think she is, no matter what the circumstances.
