apt woes
 

ok so this is my 1st year not living in the house ( i am pretty excited to live all alone but ULTRA nervous too) anyways I went and saw an incredible apt it looked really nice decorated really nicely ect .... anyways I signed a lease on it and got my keys today.. and i go to put fans in the window and well it is in the same spot as the old apt, but looks TOTALLY different... things are broken... it seems like 900 times smaller than i thought... and a banyways i have been really upset about this all day and I don't know what to do. my mom and dad are coming down to look at it tonite, ( granted they mix as well as some oil and water on a hot day ) so i am dreading this totally we are going to contact paper the shelves and lay carpet tonite but... has anyone ever had anything like this happen to them ... i am sure once i get my stuff in there and fix it up nicely it may be better but man WHAT A LET DOWN :(

aw hon, yikes! well i don't know what to say cept, first off, whatever is broke, call your landlord asap!!!! is the main thing that the stuff that was there before and made it seem nice is gone now having been moved out? i'm sure that if it was nice before you will be able to (albeit maybe a little slowly) surely make a home out of it with your own touch! anyways i wish you good luck and congrats on your first apartment:) *hugs* and a huge bouquet of violets!!!!!

and p.s. you should have SEEN the horrendous mess that our apartment was in when the guys that lived there before moved out - it was heinous- and within the past like two months it's been positively TRANSFORMED into a great apartment :) so have faith and keep your chin up!

just to let everyone know, my mom and dad went down, we got new carpet that I am going to put in and figured out the best laid play for the furniture ect, did some cleaning, and slight fixes and it really isn't too bad, i am excited to move and thank you so much for the violets..

I think that the last tenants were just the source of flith and destruction,

tomorrow is the big day with all the moving stuff so hopefully it will go well... yay
