Avg size sorority over 100!

Which universities have the avg size sorority over 100?

UF, Texas A&M... any others?

At Northwestern, most of the sororities range in size from 120-160. Some of the smaller ones may be slightly under 100, however.

USC

USC's (Southern Cal) are all around 200-250, I think. Quota last year was around 60.

This is a quote from the panhellenic website for my alma mater: "Over 600 undergraduate women are members of the one of five National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities that have established chapters here at Truman."

So the NPC chapters have just over 100 members each, and this is at a small school of only 6000 people. I've always thought that seemed strange compared to schools of a similar size. So is it just me, or are those really large chapters for such a small school?

OMG that is a lot for a small school. My school is around 10,000 and we have five sororities. Quota is about 30 on average. I can't imagine having 100 girls in a sorority!!!

Sorority size

I went to USC and liked being in a big sorority -- more friends & variety!

100+

Univ. of Central Florida (Orlando) and Florida State Univ. (Tallahassee) also have over 100 members in their sororities.

I'm not sure about the other schools in FL: Univ. of South Florida (Tampa), Univ. of Miami, Florida International (Miami), & Florida Atlantic (Boca Raton). The last 2 probably are not that large, as their NPC's are relatively young.

Most of the chapters at AZ State have 100+.

My service sorority clocks in at right around 60.

I don't know what I'd do if I had 100+ sisters. I don't know how I'd ever get to know them all well enough to feel we had a true bond.

I think most chapters here at UF have close to 200 members in them.

i went to a smaller size school...elon university in north carolina. we had about 4,500 students. most of the sororities had between 80 and 120 members and the frats about 60-75 members.

University of Miami chapters would probably be 90-120 on average. Quota will probably about 50 something this year, bringing chapters to at least 140!. Total undergraduate students are about 9,000.
Pretty cool!

Where do they hold their chapter meetings... in an auditorium?
250 is like a high school graduation!

USC

When I was at USC in the mid 70's we were big but not
200+ big, more like 100-125-ish -- our chapter meetings were always really tight!;)

Haha, true! I know the DG's at USC have more members than my graduating class! As for the meetings, ask me again in a few weeks!;)
