Has anyone else noticed the jump in publicity that Diabetes has received lately? Every time I turn on the TV, I see a commercial for testing supplies and medication, PSAs, and news updates about treatment! :)

Yes, I've definitely noticed!!! And its a very good thing, too.

I think that its because America is becoming a nation of overweight people, and being overweight can be a trigger for Type II Diabetes. The number of diabetes cases in the US is skyrocketing, especially among children who are being diagnosed Type II--terrible considering that a Type II diagnosis was almost always for adults 20 years ago.
