Fast Food Evil? Your opinions
I've been reading about this guy who is suing McD's, Wendy's, KFC and Burger King because he blames them for making him fat. What are your thoughts?

i think there's already a thread about this in the chitchat forum (the forum for non-greek related topics)

Re: Fast Food Evil? Your opinions
My thoughts? That the end of Western Civilization is closer than we thought . . . and I am only partly kidding.
Heaven forbid that the guy should accept any responsiblity for his own actions, or for his own stupidity in believing that fast food was actually "health food." |
GA is the fattest state
The CDC has a new survey out, with GA right up there among the obese.
They also report that only 20 percent of the kids who live close enough to walk to school (one mile or less) actually walk or ride a bike. Mommy and daddy haul the rest of 'em. |
People know when they eat at McDonalds, KFC, BK know that it's bad for them... If you really want to know how bad it is the info is in a brochure that's typically prominently displayed in the store.
I'm getting a little tired of society with its "do not remove under penalty of law" tags on furniture and the warnings on cigarettes and beer. I was just in Canada where when we bought cigarettes all we could find were these "Smoking Kills" brand cigarettes where essentially the package was simply a big warning label trying to scare consumers. I honestly think that it's just an enterprising law firm trying to make history in tort law.. Even if they lose (and they probably will) this translates into HUGE free publicity for them... So for the lawyers this is definitely win-win. |
I totally agree w/ ktsnake & MysticCat..
Really... did he think just because the greasy burger had lettuce it was health food? and did he think just because he put tomato ketchup on the fries that it was technically helping make it a bit more healthy? hehehe :p |
