I need some cheering up
 

OK, we all know how stressful rush can be (especially us girls) but I'm feeling particularly down and I can usually find comfort in most of my sisters, but since we have to be up and ready at 8 am tomorrow and it is now 1:30 they are all in bed :(
I think I am just stressing over nothing, i'm not really sure. I just need some words of wisdom/cheery quotes/thoughts...etc
ANYTHING...I know I can count on my gc pals...right??

OMG! Do you have rush starting tomorrow? It will be alright KDambular...we all go through this..it is normal.I am stressing now and I still have about a month till rush time.

Just breathe,everything will be just fine and when you start chanting and getting ready for the parties to start.You will forget your worries. Your sisters will be there for ya.I am sure some of them are maybe having worries about it too....but then your fears turn into excitement...See I can be cheesy too,hehe..bye and have a great rush.:D

Boy do i know that feeling. I've been there! I'm very glad that I don't have to go through the stress that is rush anymore.... just helping out on the alumnae side.
Somehow once rush starts you'll perk up and kick ass.... I'm not sure what you're down about, but you can always talk to other sisters online... or if you're just feeling generally down for no reason, do something that you love and hopefully that will perk you up.
Please let me know how rush is going! I do miss it and would love to hear about it... so post away here or in the KD forum (it's a little boring in there anyway!).

Today I am feeling much better, I am in charge of pref night and I'm the type that just wants things to go perfect and we all know that doesn't always happen!!! :) We are just now in the middle of our work week and rush starts on Sunday.
We have some awesome surprises planned for today. The guys from Pikes are coming over to work in our rotations with us and then they are staying for dinner, although us party heads are the only ones that know that is going happen! hehe, So...I'm thinking that will cheer most of us up. How can the men of Pi Kappa Alpha not?!?! lol
Ok, well before I begin rambling I'm gonna head off!!

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Nice to see your KD GC sisters rally around you!
You were probably more stressed and worried than you even realized. To be the Pef. Night Chair is a huge job, it can feel like the future of the chapter rests on your shoulders, but in reality that night is the shared responsiblity of the entire sisterhood. It is also a privlege and an honor to have such a great job. To be able to give pnms a glimpse into what the sisterhood has meant to you, that is just tremendous. Honestly with all the work of pre-recruitment remember to take some time out for yourself--read a trashy novel for 20 minutes, give yourself one of those at-home facials, nap. Anything that reminds you just who you are and how much fun all of this actually is.

But you sound like you're going to have a great time with the PIKES, cute boys are always a nice pick-me-up!
