What do you think about Essence magazine?
 

Hello ladies,
This is my first time posting here, and my subject isn't about greek life. I really don't mean to intrude on your space. Someone told me you guys have a lot of good discussions about issues concerning black folks, so I was wondering if any of you would be interested in giving me some input for a project I'm doing. I'm trying to amass as many opinions on Essence magazine as I can. Please tell me what you love or hate about it, what you want to see in it or never see in it again. I'd appreciate it. Essence has some interesting topics in it...I believe that they can improve on their covers to attract more folks. Simple

I love Essence;I look forward to getting my monthly fix from them. The articles that I particularly love are: In the Spirt, you know what, I love every article in Essence. The magazine has a way to touch on subjects to help people improve their lives. That's my personal opinion. Great subject topic! Good luck on your report.

Essence is definitely one of the better if not the best magazine out there for Black women. It's the only magazine I keep on my sofa table. I like the fact that the articles are of substance, and aren't watered down, or fluff material, like other magazines.

I usually don't read Essence (no particular reason) but actually just got a copy of it in the mail yesterday and really enjoyed reading some of the articles. I think some of them could have been longer, but for the most part I enjoyed it.
