hey there everyone (amy too!)

i REALLY want to get a cd of my first concert, and i'm sure it's out there somewhere - i just have no idea where to look or ask. I'm all about sending blank cd's - that's what i kinda did for lillywhites ;) but i don't have any clue where to start.

for anyone that knows someone, or someplace, it's the August 3rd concert at StarLake (post-gazette) Pavillion just outside of Pittsburgh!

ideas, thoughts, plans, help?

I would wait a few more days (so not to harass the traders!) and then check out www.antsmarching.org , they have a message board there where you can post and ask if anyone would be willing to do a B&P (blanks + postage) for you of that show. You could also check out www.nancies.org and www.etree.org . I would go to AM.org first because people are more friendly there. Etree.org is also usually people who don't do CDs, but do SHNs. :( I started trading from the kids on AM.org and I'm up to like 20 shows currently. The kids on AM.org will also help out if you have any questions. Another good thing about B&P is people will usually ask if you'd like a few more shows too! :D

Trading Etiquette says not to request a show until 2 weeks after it.

I trade with nancies.org and etree.org and have never had issues with either. I personally find antsmarching hostile. :(

I've got some great shows and I WILL send you some, I'll get caught up soon!

Post a thread on nancies or antsmarching NEWBIE ISO 8/3/02 B&P and you should get some replies. Etree you can email people who have the show directly--I think this is the most efficient way. :)

That's so weird...I always found the people on nancies to be hostile when I started to trade. Some guy sent me this scathing e-mail because I sent him the "wrong" kind of CD-Rs for my B&P! :( I thought because they were TDK and were good enough for my audio production classes I'd be ok!

I guess it depends on who you get to know on each site!

i'm just getting into the whole underground thing - i have all of the studio-released albums, now i'm getting into the live shows and such - but you just know a girls got to have the cd of her first ever concert! =)
