A mama Needs Wine Update

http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...d.php?t=153531

As my daughter moved back to school to participate in recruitment from the other side, I decided to revisit her story and update. I would have commented on it; however, the thread was closed.

She moved in the KD house at semester and finished a very fulfilling freshman year as a Kappa Delta. She is once again living in the house this year and has taken on several leadership roles and has talked all summer about finding her "RUSH CRUSH" and future littles (she wants twins).

In my story, I discuss her being cranky and crabby, but after many discussions with her, I feel she was just that way to me and not the girls at the houses. She was certainly focused on finding her "people" and not necessarily the letters that went with them. My thoughts are with the mama's that are embarking on a journey similar to mine from last year. Drink a glass of wine! Any kind. Just support your girls and encourage them to find their people -- whatever letters are attached to them! I'm relaxing this year, but next year.... daughter #2! WHEW! Good luck PNM's 2016!

Thinking about your thread (which I just reread, and don't recall why it was closed FWIW) and the "crankiness/crabbiness" factor (not sure those are words but hey, no big deal, right?) - probably it was the mother-daughter dynamic at play, given the circumstances of the whole rush experience. She had a successful rush, so it's safe to assume she was NOT cranky or crabby when she was attending parties!

Nice to hear from you again. Start setting in wine for next Fall, so you'll be prepared.
