Meant to be best friends?
 

hey...what do you guys think about "knowing" youll be something to someone?? i met this guy about three weeks ago and at first i thought i "liked" him, but have recently come to the realization that i think we're going to be some bomb-ass friends... i was really upset last night and was having a TERRIBLE time... and i ended up giving this guy a ride home (for the second night in a row.. he lives like two towns away) and we ended up just sitting in my car and talking for like 3 hours (again for the third night in a row)...anyway..i was crying for about an hour and a half of that time (i hardly cry in front of ANYONE)...he was completely reading me like a book...and finally he was like 'ya know, i think that we're going to be good friends.. i just got that feeling when we first met...something clicks with you and i think we have the potential to be best friends..and i think you feel it too...do you feel it?'...and i was still crying at that point..and that, for some reason, made me cry more..all i could do is nod... anyhow, i know to some of you this may be a pointless thread, but given my mental situation last night, that meant the world to me... does anyone else believe that you can know something like that when you first meet someone?? just curious..

I knew that I would either be best friends or marry my husband the second I met him. I had knocked on his fraternity house door and he answered. He had just gotten his bid that day, so I had never met him. However, I did not have a crush on him and I turned him down when he asked me out. At that time, I wasn't interested in him in that way. A year later we finally went out and the rest is history! We were married this summer!
