When is Rush at your school?


How are things looking?

Also, what songs do you use during rush? We use Linger and Hello Rushies... (think that is the title?)

We've been having Rush practice most of the summer. I am super super excited! We have made some changes and this is going to be an AWESOME year!!! WHOOO-HOOO!!! And a big thanks to the AR Alphas for the help!

Something I have learned... the most important part of rush... show your love for Pi Phi and what it all TRUELY stands for!

Meet the Greeks is today (8 parties)
Philanthropy Day is Saturday (6 parites)
Skit Day is Sunday (4 parties)
Pref is Monday (2 parties)
Bid day is Tuesday!


I am actually in Mississippi for the first time in seven years during rush, so I am going to try and get down to Hattiesburg!

Shelly! Your in MS? I'm leaving Saturday to go to school! I'm sooo excited! Workshop starts Monday. I will only be there for Monday thought because I'm getting my wisdom teeth out on Tuesday. Let me know how Pi Phi at USM does in rush!

Good luck sisters! UF Recruitment starts a little more than a week from now...August 19th. Spirit Week starts tomorrow!

Can't wait to get back and hear about how wonderful all our new pledge classes are! I can't wait to have PC 2002 on our lawn!

Good luck with fall recruitment, ladies!

Ours doesn't get underway for another few weeks but I'm looking forward to it already.

This year and next will be interesting, as the values workshop unrolls across the countries. I can't wait to see the positive change in all our chapters.

We're just gonna get stronger from here!

Ha ha, am I the only one who sees the words "Pi Phi" and "shine" in the same sentence and immediately thinks of cookie shines? It's been awhile. ;)

I love cookie shines! I was trying to explain them to one of my guy friends back home (who isn't greek) and he just couldn't get it. He kept asking why passing a cookie around and singing was fun!

bump... any rush updates?

To answer TrojanGirl's question, IN Gamma uses "Linger", "Edeilweiss", "Pepsi Song" (It's something I think a TGC passed along to us), and "Hey Pi Phi" (Like Hey Mickey) during our formal rush. I think by the second day I had almost lost my voice from singing so much! The Pepsi Song can be dangerous because we sing it while standing on the staircase, and when you're dancing and moving your arms it can be scary!!! LOL

Like jharb said, we won't have formal recruitment until January. I can't wait until COB, but I can't participate because I'm a Rho Chi. :(

For you Pi Phi's rushing now I expect to see updates and stories on here as soon as Bid Day is over! :D
