Any Founders Out There???

Hey I was wondering if any of you all started your GLO from the ground up? If so I was wondering if you want to share your experiences for others who are starting/re-colonizing a GLO this fall.

Would helping recharter a house that was once expelled count?

I'm a Founder!

I'm one of 6 founders for our Charter at Humboldt State University. If all goes well, we'll be going up for chapter in October!

YAY! :D

I'm a chapter founder. I was a member of a local sorority that went national... lots of hard work (esp. since we had 10 members and the other sororities had 90-100), but we pulled off a major fundraising event, rushed in an awesome fall new member class (growing to 22 total members), and were chartered within a year of becoming a colony. Signing that charter was sweet :)

Ha Braggin rites! I founded the Local BX!

40 % from Lamar, Mo homies ( Home of HS Truman ), 40 % kicked out of other Orgs!

20 % didnt know anybetter and were not wanted by anyother Houses!

Well that was back in 1965! Hell before many of you were born!:) We were colonized in 1966 and chartered in 1969 with LXA!!!!

If you did, be proud of what you did and it dont happen to much!

it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to follow through to the end! The rewards are the most fantastic in the world to go back and see what has come to fruitation!

I'm also a charter member of my chapter, Zeta Tau at Georgia State.

I'm so proud to be a charter!

My grand-big was one of the charter members of my sorority!

They went from colony to chapter in only one semester!

She said it was hard work, but well worth it to see how we have blossomed from 9 charter members to 70 actives and 30 alumna since 2000!

I'm a charter member of a local sorority that went national last fall. My name is even on the charter, which I think is just too cool! Anyway, we went through a lot of work last year, but it was so worth it and I'm very proud of how much we have accomplished in becoming a national chapter.

HeavenslilAngel 08-17-2002 08:46 AM

I am a charter member of my chapter. I was in the 2nd pledge class on my local which was cool too. As others have said it was pretty cool to sign the charter. :) It took us a year to affiliate with a national and on March 3, 2002 we colonized with ASA.

I'm a founding father of the Mu Tau Chapter of Sigma Nu... Our 272nd chapter.
