Here to get info about sorority recruitment!!
 

Hi!! I'm Elizabeth and I'll be attending FSU next year and I'm solo excited about rush!! My mom is my best friend in the whole world but we have absolutely nothing in common including the kind of social settings we enjoy. Needless to say, she was never interested in participating in sorority recruitment or activities when she was in college. Thats fine with me because everyone has a different idea of a great college experience but I really want to join a sorority. Unfortunately, this means that she knows nothing about recruitment or being in a sorority so I have no advice!! I'm here to ask the questions I need answered and extra information and advice regarding sorority recruitment.

Go Noles! I went to FSU a million years ago, but I was in the opposite situation. My mom is in a sorority, and encouraged me to try recruitment. But I just KNEW that I was not a sorority girl, and I refused to even consider it. I had to make a sheepish phone call a few semesters later when I found my home in Kappa through informal recruitment - but that's another story!

There are a lot of fantastic chapters at FSU! Will you be doing a summer semester? Have you started getting recommendation letters?

KerrieMarie, that makes me having been on campus before the dawn of time!

As KM says, FSU has fabulous chapters with gorgeous houses. You do need recommendations for all sororities at FSU. How are you doing on those?

I am quite familiar with the chapters at FSU. My daughters had a "perfect" rush there and I may be able to give you some pointers. FWIW free advice:)
