Texas Tech University Recruitment

Hello out there to any ladies that went or are going to Texas Tech I have a few questions about Greek life there! I am 22 and will be attending Texas Tech next fall as a junior. I have never had an opportunity to be apart of a sorority but it's always been something that I would love to do! I'm just curious if because of my age houses wouldnt accept me? No matter what I will go through formal recruitment in the fall in the hopes of finding the right sisterhood for me but is it likely that I will be cut completely because of my age? Just wondering if anyone has some good insight for me or has gone through a similar situation and has feedback for me, thank you so much!:)

It's "a part" of a sorority.

Texas Tech

As it has been said many times on this site, you will never know unless you go through recruitment.

That being said, your age and junior status will probably limit your choices. Most pledge classes will have a majority of 18 year old freshmen women... and a 22 year old is usually light years different in what they like to do and who they like to hang out with.

Just my opinion. If you truly want to experience Greek Life as an NPC sorority woman, you have nothing to lose. Good Luck and let us know how things turn out.

Thank you for the honest feedback! I know TTU has a very competitive Greek life so I won't be super surprised if I don't receive a bid solely because of my age, I just hope I find a house that connects with me as well as I feel I connect with it and they'll look past the age and focus more on what I can contribute to the organization! Fingers crossed I guess, I'll never know if I don't try:)

Be sure to try to get recommendations to each of the chapters. The chapters having advance information on you can only help.
