TLC info

TLC is now back but in the same format of the ACT last year. It is for collegiate officiers (specifically for those listed) and Volunteer Service Team members to work together. Presentations and meetings are held to help each officier with their position. In order to be present at TLC nowadays, you need to be a collegiate officer, collegiate advisor or Volunteer Service Team member. So that is how you can go!

Last year this was very effective for the collegians, advisors and VST. I was present and presented at two of the four last year and had a blast! I am looking forward to 2003!

Area D -- Kansas City? *sigh*

DeltaBetaAGD 08-07-2002 06:29 PM

I know, Kansas City is not the best but there really is not much time to see the sights! Busy from sun up to sun down. :)

Last year, when ACT was held for Area D, it was uncertain whether or not our collegiate officers were going to be able to go because of its distance (Oklahoma, I think?).

I really hope distance doesn't matter this year.

I was your chapter's Recruitment Consultant last year and I remember there were a number of issues with the distance. I know it happened to be that it would take the women of Delta Sigma too long to arrive thus they would either have to miss more classes or part of the ACT. BUT...they also had the advantage of having a LA there to facilitate the same programming. :)

Area F - Alpharetta

((Actually, Northwest of Atlanta!))

Y'all come on down!

It depends on the chapter's budget and if they can send more. The advisors that really need to be there are those that work with the collegiate officers in attendance.

Woo hoo, since the VPS has to go, that means that I can, too! :) Of course, I would have to check with the chapter, but I wouldn't need travel or hotel costs because it's so close. :) Any idea of what the registration fees and stuff will be?

AGDLynn 08-08-2002 11:09 AM

I don't remember but it seems that we got a break on the hotel rooms in Charlotte for ACT..maybe $75 for whole thing?? It is definitely less expensive than Convention!!

As DB says, there are meetings all the time, so,if you attend what you're supposed to attend;) , you won't see much of whatever town you're in..

Alpharetta has Northpoint Mall nearby..lots of shopping. :D Not sure about any nightlife.

DeltaBetaAGD 08-08-2002 12:41 PM

The registration fee last year was $75.00 per participant. The chapter is responsible for traveling costs and I am not sure what the hotel cost was.

More information will be on the website when available. It will also be mailed out to chapters.
