Bid Night/Day
 

Heya! I have a question for everyone out there. How do other chapters give out bids. What do you guys do?
We go in twos to the PNM's and explain what a bid is, and answer questions they might have. They then have two days to contact the Recruitment Director with a yes a no. We don't do any big event for it. They get ribbons two days after acceptance.
I'm just curious how you guys do it...
We don't do formal at all.And our campus is pretty anti- greek. We get a lot of "maybe- joiners"

During formal, the rho-chi gives the girls the bids and they run to wherever the are and we sing some preppy fun little songs and give them bid packets. We then all go up to the student center for the revealing of the rho-chis and then that night, we as a chapter go to Olympic Park in down town atlanta and have fun there, and then all sister sleep up on the hall, or i guess this year all sisters will sleep in one of 2 rooms we have.

For spring, if we don't have quota, we do the COBs. For the bids then, we go to the girls room or where she is on campus and give her the bid, and explain how long she has and everything.. This past spring the girls were given my # to call and let us know if they didn't accept right away.. All the girls we gave bids to, came with me to the COBs, only one accepting b/c others had money issues or were transferring.. Once the girl accepts we gave them presents or what not. For this informal, at most only 4 girls go b/c we don't want them to feel pressured at all that they have to accept.
