HELP A SISTA OUT

...well, I want to be a sister.

I go to UT (Texas, not Utah), one of the most competitive colleges to get into a sorority. I don't know anyone in the sororities closely and I am not a legacy. I am in several clubs at UT, did really well in high school, and am in McCombs. Also, I will be a sophomore next year :O
I can be kind of shy until I know people well which sucks for rush/recruitment...

Anyone have tips/advice/etc on how I can increase my chances of getting into a sorority?

Thanks in advance!

Search and read through the stickied posts in the recruitment pages. You need to do the legwork on your own, not have us tell you what to do. UT is one of the most competitive recruitments and no one will hand you anything.

Also, asking for help by using clickbaity titles like yours won't endear you to anyone, just saying.

UT has excellent placement rates, as do all except THE UNIVERSITY THAT SHALL GO UNNAMED. You can very likely find a sorority home at UT but you have to be open to every last one. As soon as you set your sights on a particular few chapters, yes, you are probably doomed.

Forget the tent talk. You'll be fine.
