Annual Badge Day Column
Here 'tis:
http://www.parispi.net/opinion/colum...7c82be005.html " . . . there are countless thousands of other sorority women who take the confidence and skills they acquired during their college days and use it, day in and day out, in order to be the living embodiments of their creeds, unknown except to a small community. They are, however, the best representation of the strength of sisterhood and the power of women united." |
I'm kinda bummed I can't wear my badge to work on Badge Day as my school district is on spring break that week. But I look forward to wearing it on DPhiE's Founders Day on March 17!

So, for Theta Phi Alpha, if you become president do you trade your original badge in, or do you get the new one in addition to your original one?

President Badges
The Chapter owns the Chapter Presidents Badge and it is past on from President to President.
Nationals owns the diamond badge and that gets past on also. We are voting this year on a Past National Presidents badge that women keep after they are National President. Does your group have a past national presidents badge? |
Yes. All International Council members receive a commemorative badge when they leave office. They are given at Convention when new IC officers are sworn in and outgoing IC officers are thanked for their service. IC badges have a white enamel crescent (instead of black), the IP's badge is set with diamonds, and the other officers' badges are set with pearls. They are slightly larger, and I think they're all in pendant form. I believe those are passed down and they receive an identical, new badge when they leave office. I think those are in pin form, and I'm not sure of the size.

Bumping because IT IS TODAY!
|
Aw, dang, I forgot. And it's actually warm enough for a spring dress today.
|
I wore mine. No one made any mention of it, but then again, I was at my only brother's funeral.
