University of Oregon fraternities will accept transgender members
This is a step forward to include more diversity. Link below to story.

My primary question is whether a fraternity accepting into collegiate membership people who are not legally men at the time of admission places their Title IX exemption at greater risk.
Secondarily, for a chapter to accept members who are legally women and have male gender identity, but *not* those who are legally women and have female gender identity, mean that the chapter opens themselves to campus sanctions for descrimination based on gender identity? (I'm a member of a co-ed service fraternity, some headaches are for other groups. :) ) |
