I caught the premiere last night. It looks to be an interesting season - although brutal!

Debbie (on the Brains tribe) is going to work my nerves. I just know it. I liked Scot Pollard more than I expected to. (I remember watching him play in college. I am old.)

Julia (on the Beauty tribe) mentioned that she's in a sorority during the episode. Anyone know which one? Anyone else Greek?
ETA: Answering my own question. She's an Alpha Phi.

I saw much of the first episode and I enjoyed it before I fell asleep.

I'm friends with Neal and attended his premiere party last night in San Francisco. He's the kind of guy who wins at everything he tries so I'm hoping his streak goes unbroken!

It was funny to hear his commentary about the filming during commercial breaks. The contestants don't get any kind of advance screening so they too are seeing this for the first time! (To point, Neal had no idea what had happened in the Beauty or Brawn camps until watching the show - they don't interact with the other tribes at all except at the challenge and even then, they are not allowed to talk at all except when the cameras are rolling.)

Fun fact - during the challenge, Audrey got the first two paddles and then Neal took over. He too lost the mask when diving in but Audrey went back in to get the other two paddles without a mask. If Brains had lost, we may not have even seen Darnell losing his mask as its ll in the editing. Likewise, we were never shown that Audrey got the two deepest paddles without a mask... which would have changed my perceptions of her last night.

I never watch Survivor but I'll be tuned in all season!
