rushing as a junior at UC Berkeley?
Hey GC! I am here to ask if anyone has experience rushing as a junior at Berkeley (or maybe another UC with a similar Greek community). I have a few questions:
1. Is it very difficult to get a bid? 2. Is it easier to get a bid if you are a transfer? I am not and am worried about this. 3. Is is easier to get a bid as a humanities major rather than STEM? Again, I'm STEM and I don't want to get cut from houses just because of that, but I'd like to know if that's what happens a lot of the time. 4. Do juniors count for quotas? I saw that awhile back someone had posted here saying they didn't always (some years yes, some years no). Thanks! I'd also love any advice or stories people have about junior rushing in general! |
Here's the answer for you. NONE OF THIS MATTERS. Go through rush. Have a good time, stay positive, handle the cuts and inevitable rejection with dignity and grace and all you can do is deal with the outcome as it happens.
The California schools are reasonably open to upper classwomen. Major doesn't matter. It only takes one so don't worry about what individual chapters may or may not prefer. |
