Junior going through recruitment
I plan to transfer schools in the fall as a junior, Is it possible to still join a sorority as a junior? I would be in school for a 5th year due to changing my major. Technically I would be a senior by credit hours and a junior in terms of years, but a sophomore all over again due to changing my major. I'm wondering how I would be classified during recruitment. The school I plan to transfer to is a big state school with a not so competitive recruitment from what I've heard.

If you are a senior by credit hours, you will be considered a senior in terms of recruitment. |
If anyone asks, tell them you'll be there longer than one year due to a change a major. That may help you out. :) A lot of people do big major changes and it causes them to stay longer than 4 years. I think I was rare that I kept my same major the whole time.

This seems a situation tailor made for recommendations, even if your new school isn't one that generally uses them. Your rec writers can note your status, too, so the sisters have that data point before rush begins.

If you're going to UCLA, we have LOTS of transfer students and an upper class quota that is ONE THIRD the pledge class total!
