UC Davis?
 

Just wondering if there is anyone from UC Davis on here? It would be interesting to see what they think about MTV's "Sorority life".

i'm not from davis, but i was wondering what the buzz is there? how has your house changed since it all has taken place at your school?

I’m not from Davis either but I was wondering what the scoop was on Leslie.

I'm the Advisor for UC Davis Theta Chapter...and we think the show is a HOOT!!

You have to realize that davis is a MAJOR COW town...it's a nice little community, where people get lost in Bike Circles.

We thought MTV was CRAZY for chosing such a nothing campus for sorority life, and to pick a small, jewish sorority that really couldn't show what it means to be a National Greek. There are lots o fields, cows, engineers and doctors around...so how crazy can Davis be? It's interesting how they try to make the sorority into this big party pot, but it really isn't!

It's entertainment, I must say! We told our girls to be careful, not wear letters where the cameras might be around, and to be respectful.

They picked them because they were the only ones who said YES. Every single national sorority as well as other locals around the nation turned MTV flat down. We weren;t as stupid as them. I must say your campus seems really nice. And I saw the episode where they had that picnic day or whatever it was called and that seemed like so much fun. I wish Rutgers did something like that!

Don't be ridiculous -- not every other chapter in the nation turned MTV down. There are plenty of locals who would jump at the chance to be on MTV, regardless of its reputation for sensationalizing. And for that matter, plenty of national chapters who would do it too, if their nationals hadn't forbid it.

I'm from UC Davis, and am a Pi Phi. Honestly, this whole sorority life thing is sheer comedy to us. It doesn't accurately the greek system at Davis, or anywhere for that matter. Davis is a fantastic place to be, and although there are plenty of cows, there are many many good times!

Don't you just get a total laugh from the show! Because you know Davis is a small little town, a great place to go to college and fairly fun yet mellow at the same time! I went to Cal Poly, and I loved it, so I know what it's like going to a school like Davis.

I dont take the show seriously, since I know how Greek life is at Davis, but I must say, it's a HOOT!
