My cat
I think my husband is seriously going to kill our cat!!
We have had her for almost 2 1/2 years and she has had TWO accidents. Accident #1 happened because she got locked in a closet. We have no idea how long she was in there but obviously she couldn't hold it. Accident #2 happened yesterday. My husband had an old bean bag and the cat pissed all over it! I have no idea why she would do this. I think it might have been because the bean bag had small styrofoam balls in it that sounds like litter?!? Anyway, it totally soaked through the entire thing and my husband is really mad that he had to throw it out. |
You might want to check with your vet to see if she's got a UTI. Cats with UTI will seek out 'soft' spots to urinate because they associate the litterbox with painful urination.

That's interesting. I've never heard that before. I'll check into it...thanks :)

It is so funny you bring that up because my cat has been SO good, and then she decided to use my bed yesterday!!! I am still trying to figure out what got into her.
Was the litterbox clean? Cats are VERY picky if isn't. |
Was your cat mad at you? "Hell hath no fury as a cat scorned . . ."
(Deliberate misquoting and misinterpretation) |
I think so. We aren't on speaking terms right now
{Note to self.... starting to sound like a crazy old cat lady} |
HAHAHAHAH! No way, I'm the same with my dog. Although her accident(s) was the result of the consumption of an ENTIRE bag of Hershey's kisses. Yes, foil and all. And chocolate is SO BAD for dogs!
|
I think the bean bag does have an attraction...my cat did the same thing! And he never ever goes out of the litterbox.
As for your cat getting left in the closet, either she was really mad and decided to get revenge or she was in there for a LOOOOOONG time. Cats will usually hold it if they can't find their box....at least my cats have... |
Me an my roomates have a cat we got here when she was about 4 weeks old and when she was a couple months old she peeded in my bed twice- on 2 seperate occasions and the only conclusion we could come up with is because she was mad at me. This cat is spoiled and she is very prissy.
|
I don't think that she was mad at us...I think she just got confused. The little box was pretty clean because I cleaned it out over the weekend.
My cat is kind of a "touch-me-not". She only likes to be touched in certain places and only when she approaches you. If you touch her any other time she will put a hole in your leg. |
Do you ever give your cat catnip? My cat goes INSANE when she gets even the tiniest whiff of it! She'll be laying there completely normal and then BAM!!! flipping off the couch, skidding on the floor, mangling this poor toy! It's hysterical.
What are your cat's names? Mine's 'Viva'. Roughly translated it is 'To Live' In Italian. |
LOL, you actually have a high maintainance pet with body and intimacy issues . . .
You have got to be joking! On a lighter note there are pet therapists that claim to be able to work through the Cat's Kitten-Trauma and cure that neurosis so there is hope. I am sure that working together we could find you an acredited Pet Therapist in your area . . . I am very toungue-in-cheek right now! I am rolling laughing at the idea of a neurotic cat with an intimacy problem and an attitude. Quote:

Men that don't want you to touch them? Or do they urinate on your bean bag? ;) lol.
You just aren't hanging with the right men . . . if you are good looking you can touch me anytime:D. Quote:

We had a litter of kittens take up residence underneath our fraternity house. We had been feeding them for the past month and yesterday the mother cat was run over by a car in front of the A Chi O house. Granted this has nothing to do with the conversation I just wanted to get that out. :(
