Good News
 

Hi Ladies, I wanted to share my awesome news with my GC sisters! I found out yesterday that I was approved for student teaching (winter 2003)! :D I was starting to get a little nervous because applications were turned in back at the beginning of June...but we all know how slow Universities are when it comes to important paperwork. Now, I'm just waiting for my official letter. I probably won't get my placement until September ( :( ), but I think I can wait until then.

I thought alumnae couldn't live in a chapter house! How'd ya swing it?

I thought alum could live in the house if they were a Graduate Consoular(sp?)...kind of like and LC....but I dont know if we even have those ???? I ve just heard about them.

It's kind of a special situation. I just went alum, but I am still in school (at EMU). I have one semester of classes left to go and then I am moving home to student teach. I just needed a place for the fall because it is rather far to commute. The was no way I was going to move back into the dorms as a fifth year senior, and if I tried to rent a place then I would have to deal with the BS of a sub-leaser when I move out. Sooooo...since I am close to a bunch of the girls at AB and they aren't at capacity, it was a perfect fit! :)

YAY!!!!! :D I am SOOOO happy for you!! Where are you going to student teach? I know you are going to be an awesome teacher and I am so happy that things are working out for you!! P.S. I miss you to pieces and we need to hang out soon!!
