Mtv Researcher Wants You
MTV's new show MADE wants to give you a complete lifestyle makeover! You will meet with a team of experts who will give you a crash training course and help you accomplish whatever it takes for you to achieve your goal! We'll document your progress, as well as get the opinion of your friends & family along the way.
We are looking for people who are pledging a sorority in the Fall, and have never done so before. Ideally, you are new at school or perhaps you just have always dreamed of pledging but need some help. IF YOU’RE BETWEEN 17 AND 25 AND THIS IS YOU-TELL US ABOUT IT! Explain what your goal is, why you think you can make it, and why you need us to help you reinvent yourself. We’ll give you the tools to pursue your dream-—the coach, the trainer, the tutor, whatever—-and you’ll do the rest. EMAIL YOUR STORY and be sure to include your name, age, location and contact information to made@mtvstaff.com IN THE SUBJECT LINE, TELL US WHAT YOU WANT TO BE “MADE” INTO. |

This doesn't sound bad, except.............for the pledging part. how about just the life makeover and that's it?

I don't understand what pledging would have to do with the makeover part?
"We will help make you into something as long as you are pledging!" Sounds like the next episode of sorority life or whatever the hell the name of that show on MTV is. |
I just had a thought how would most organizations react if a prospect showed up to a rush event with a MTV camera crew?
|
I'm pretty sure NO cameras are allowed during recruitment events. And why would you need a life makeover to get into a sorority? I'd much rather recruit a woman who is true to herself and not trying to be someone else that MTV has "MADE" her into.

ridiculous...mtv sucks and they need to put their nose up someone elses ass...
|
The responses...
LMAO.
You all are something else. |
Sure, how much will YOU PAY me to do it?

MTV went from something fun, a television program that let people watch music videos for fun. Now you turn on MTV, there is never any music....too mainstream, it's all about making that dollar! |
exactly, how do they get paid showing video after video....it's been so damn perversed since it's beginnings, but Mtv2 seems relatively true to itself...but does anyone really want to see TRL and whatever other programming they show back to back...that karioke show? it's miserable.

Sounds to me like they're having trouble getting any sorority to cooperate after "Sorority Life," and this is a way to get into a chapter by the back door.
These guys are not dumb, and also not always ethical. Problem is that hundreds or thousands of prospective freshman girls will think this is the neatest thing sinced canned beer. |

cooperate after "Sorority Life," and this is a way to get into a chapter by the back door. Yep, I'd say that's EXACTLY what's going on. Perhaps the local organizations are closing ranks with the nationals on this whole "MTV Issue", and MTV is looking for other ways to play the "Greek Angle". Would you care to comment one way or another on this, Mr. or Ms. "mtvresearcher" ??? One more thing: We now know for a fact that MTV knows about this forum. |
Seems that "mtvresearcher" is a one time poster, thank god! Maybe if he/she read any of the other thread they'd realize the animosity many posters of this board have towards mtv and the sorority life debacle.
